Whereas many people hate to sleep in the same room with someone who snores, perhaps they would tread more carefully if they knew that snoring can actually be a health problem. You may be getting bothered throughout the night that your partner is a snorer and you are wondering whether there is anything you can do sooner or later. Even though statistics indicate that more men than women snore, you cannot completely blame those who do.

Why people snore

More often than not snoring is caused by air finding it difficult to get through narrow airways which usually happens while a person is a sleep. The air tracks get tightened especially with age and this make it difficult for the air to get through. Smoking is also known to be a major contributor to this problem even though snoring is also known to follow family lines so that you are likely to snore at some age if your parents did it.

  • Ageing
  • Allergies
  • Respiratory illnesses (asthma, colds, sinusitis)

You will also realize that some of the medication used could put them on danger’s path one way or another. Snoring is basically caused by blockages to the air channel by stuffy noses, the tongue falling back or the jaw staying in a wrong position during sleep.
